Hi people. Hope you'll like this new layout I did with lots of help from Ruixiong. I was very bushuang with people saying the blog not nice. well there are still people from 7e ( Wa LaW eh)who think that the new design is "not aesthetically appealing yea?" but Im not speaking to them for the moment. Maybe we can be more organised now? ie having a separate page for photos. Baohe help me see to that part of the code please =P. Thanks Baohe for agreeing to help put it up. It's based on the poem "TV" by Ian Crichton Smith, so I played around the theme of literary media.Hope you guys like it.
Hello people i'm sickkk and jealousss. Jealous because i'm sick. Ok I shall just blog about my ONE day of fac camp. Don't worry I'll take up alot of space heh heh.
We came to school, took the bus to Marina Country Club where Nette and I starting reminiscing about wakeboarding (!!) haha. And my instructor (whom Eelin said was hot) still remembered me yay. Then we had abit of trying-to-warm-us-up activities but most of us didn't want to participate, i.e: Hwachong OOOOI (which they used for most of the camp too; according to Jianyang some guys don't like it)
And so begins our journey to Pulau Ubin. In a ferry. In a slowww ferry. Siowyi was like "aiyoh should take out the roof la, windless one". After some time we reached our destination we had all the usual stuff then started the EXCITING ACTIVITIES! Hahaha
First was rock wall where Eelin, Kayiu (erm did he arh I forgot..all I remember was him complaining that his skin on his hands were peeling), Siowyi and I managed to reach the top ^^ but kudos to everyone else who tried their best to do so too! Abseiling was nice too. Lemon and Andrew didn't do it though; they are scared of heights ><>< and my arms are still weak from rock climbing just before that so I doubted whether I could hold on..argh. But it was fun, a once-in-a-lifetime experience :D
Next was lunch, then rafting where team alpha won woohoo! But at the second lap on of our containers came loose! LOL. So we were like paddling a sinking ship x) and then it was JETTY JUMP. The segment which I was so excited about (Kayiu should know, haha). There is this scaffolding supposedly 2 storeys high and we had to climb, jump then float in the sea which was so nice! I volunteered myself and went first. When you jump, it's like total silence then suddenly you plunge into the sea -woohoo- I kept telling people that it's like feeling what committing suicide is but not dying XD Shuying was unlucky because she climbed up just when the rollers (the waves formed when a boat speeds past) came in. As you can imagine the scaffolding was swaying abit >< terrible. And yay everyone managed to do it!
Ok after that was bathing, pitching tents then outdoor cooking. Shuying, Nette, Weiqi, Wenchi and everyone else around us were crying because we were at the onion-cutting station! Baohe had a go too because he wanted to see if he would really cry haha. Yup as what Cass said everything tasted like hor fun. And smelled like it too! It was an interesting experience though.
Next we had to sleep. Evidently some people couldn't sleep so decided to play cards at the cabanna nearest to the tents and got very excited and were speaking very loudly ("AIYAH if I put this card I would have won already!"). Being in a tent near the cabanna I was woken up. When I sat up my friend, Liulu, sat up too. Both of us felt sick so walked around, played some cards (if you can't beat them join them eh lol) and finally found the perfect place to sleep - the girls' toilet! Wahaha. Don't worry it's odourless and dry (unlike the guys' toilet according to Erik)(<-- Cass! LOL) and we slept there until the first few girls started coming in to wash up. Got a shock they did :P
And so marks the end of my stay at Pulau Ubin. Felt super sick so took my temperature: 37.9! Went to the doctor's lor. Yup that's all. Well I wrote quite alot lol. Jia you Cass and Eelin for fac comm! <3
Siowyi, don't try and generate scandal la, Fac head got his own scandal. He thinks Zhang Sheng is hot, remember? I simply gripped very tightly onto his hand la, grip onto your hand also lor, you want to be les with me?I dont want to eat fac head's toufu la, got toufu in other groups. XD.Guobin's the one who thinks fac head is hot/handsome. He said that like 5 times at least in one convo. We wonder... ok la I'll continue with the 3rd post, pardon my writing style, it's rather choppy. my EngNish not so good, not so good Nike the Instructor, he speak nike that. He seems to nike Ee Nin a n(l)ot.to maintain good relations with fellow Aresians, we shall not mention which class made a )(*&#()$%&#$^&$%&#)$%&()#$&% hell lot of noise, but former fac head really should teach his junior class better. ^^. Leap of Faith. Woohoo. Looked really scary, but the trapeze was actually reachable from this tall vertical log. And I didn't have much sleep the night before, so I tried the first time, and missed. Then I swore, just to relieve tension. ^^.The log was shaking like nobody's business as my legs were trembling. [Im rather confused if Im afraid of heights or not, so I prefer to believe I'm not and just zham everything]. then I got it the 2nd time. everyone got a turn. and <3 to Wenchi again for being so brave and overcoming another psychological obstacle. *huggles* Junhong was afraid of heights too, but he went ahead anyway. woo! For Jeriel, it was more of the Fall of Faith because he was so tall. So we guessed that for Wayne Ho, it'd be the Reach of Faith. Aha!
Then we had this task called the something Finger, where we had to lift 2 tyres out of a tall vertical log ( this campsite really had a lot of logs) and then put it back again. Oh noble Guobin sacrificed his shoulders once again, along with Jerryale, Fac Head and Kar Weng. People just stepped on the shoulders to lift the tyres up, and after that, back down again. I was just an arm rest lol. Never get married twice, bloody troublesome. (2 rings) Good team effort once again Tiga!!!
Next activity was to cross this "river" (it was just sand actually) using 2 planks and 2 crates, and we weren't supposed to fall in. So how? Use physics lor. Clockwise moments = anti-clockwise moments; further away from the pivot = greater force ie Fuji. Once again, Jerryale was first, so he could hold the planks and stuff. Before the last person could get across, it started raining, so we had to get our tents and stuff.
Instructors insisted that we HAD to put our tent bag in between the fly sheet and the tent, so we were wondering if we had to put the camp poles in the correct orientation too. Too bad we didn't have a protractor, or we would have measure the exact angle in which the tent was folded, so our packing would have been impeccable.
Lunch wasn't so good. Couldn't finish it. yelch.
Well I guess that's the end of our camp, we did learnt a lot about our classmates. Lynette is now known as superwoman and is highly respected. Lol. Ee Nin and Siowyi have a higher tendency of being bitten than I do. You guys are such great friends. Thanks. Wenchi, Weiqi, Shuying and Junyan are more lovable now. <3. And Weiqi can stay awake if she wants to. XD. Ka Yiu is actually SO STRONG WOW. Ey Ka Yiu, next time cannot don't pia la. Hope I didn't miss out anyone. Glad that we could bond well with a13 and we weren't THAT clique-ish. ^^
hoho ok i shall blog abt the second day(: after breakfast, [FRIED beehoon, FRIED samosas its a wonder why we din get constipation] we went to do the Team Challenge Pyramid(more affectionately known as TCP). This was one hell of a tower. 25 m high oh my god. There were 15 elements on this pyramid but we only did 11. yuppz. the obstacles were upward sloping so as u complete more and more obstacles then u increase in altitude. and we went in grps of 5. the 5 pple were attached to one another thru some things called stropes. [CASS i rmb u trembling! ha jelly legs:p) but i must say
YEE KAI helped cass alot.(haha shant say more:p) ] and when u finished everything u are rewarded with a flying fox! woohoo! so fun. lalala
then after lunch we went to do the low elements. had to do this cling-onto-a-rope-and-swing-across game. nth much larh that one. just had to swing over this patch of red mat abt 2 m long using a rope(smthg like wat TArzAn does) then after that had this high wall stuff. its like a SMOOTH vertical wall 3 m tall and u had to get everyone up there. this's a real team bonder. everyone had to sacrifice their

ok la since nobody blogged about fac camp, I shall blog. To all you who missed it, you missed out a lot!!! Initially, the instructor said we could group with 70, so I was like Yay Yee Chien <3. And Ruixiong XD. And the Extremely Efficient Erik. lol. Our class was grouped with a13, fac head's class, oh well. so I cheng ji to boot lick la lol.people running for fac comm ma...When 1 door closes, another opens. lol. Also, a lot of the people took part in dramafeste,and we were in graffiti sabbaticals, so I sort of knew them la.I visit their class bench very often.Guobin wants me to blog about him. so yea. Guobin Guobin Guobin Guobin Guobin Guobin. Also in our group were: Fuji (CHORALE!!!) , Jeriel (CHORALE!!!), Kar Weng ( ARTHUR!!! ) , Junhong (CHORALE!!!), Jianyang, Ruiyi (BACKSTAGE!!!) . Group name was Tiga. Sigh, Michelle wasn't with us because she came a little later. On the first day, we did abseiling and rock climbing. The rock wall was maybe, 2 storeys high? some people ie Siowyi scaled it in record time, but I didn't finish T_T, only did up till 2nd last square on top. Abseiling was rather scary, you have this maybe 50cm wall on top, then the rest is all space for you to slide down on a rope. Most of us had a go at it; kudos to Wenchi who conquered her fear even though she was so scared. <3. I simply swore all the way la.XD. I swore a lot during camp.
Then we also built a raft to cross the lagoon with 3 big ugly man-size fish. At first we weren't really comfortable with the a13 people, but a few of us went to join them. Mix a bit la. group Alpha won, but group Bravo's raft disintegrated midway, or rather, disintegrated from the beginning. We finished one lap and they were still trying to fix it. XD. Square lash rocks (it's a type of knot), and Im not even sure if I tied it correctly. After that was Jetty Jump, or rather, a short cut to watery graves. it looked really scary, a few people were hydrophobic, but they jumped anyway. (even though it took damn long). yay Lemon!!!
For dinner, we had to do outdoor cooking. So to maximise efficiency ( my favourite word for the moment), we delegated tasks etc. Everything tasted like hor fun, but was nice anwyay. Glad that our group was co-operative, and then nobody actually sat in a corner and slacked like some other class. Then after dinner we played some groping in the dark game. too bad I didn't get to eat people's toufu "by accident'" XD. Supper was damn sick, because the instructor made us finish the leftover by passing a sandwich round and asking people to take one bite each. yuk. End of First Day. Btw, instructor kept trying to hit on Ee Lin. lol
Lemon had attachment, so sad. Then also Carmen got sick :(. Thank goodness she left. Breakfast every morning was like an oilspill, and it was virtually impossible to get enough sleep. Some people decided they wanted to play hockey by themselves and left on the 2nd day. what can I say? they missed out a lot. So with our beloved CT rep gone, imagine how DISTRAUGHT we were!!! Nobody to lead us into battle, oh how I wept for our poor souls. BUT, we had FAC HEAD!!! Plus loads of teamwork and brains(none of which were contributed by me), and we pulled through the various team activities anyway even though we had less people.
Can someone blog about the second day? It's hard for me to resist using explicit language for the 2nd day due to some class making a hell lot of noise while people were trying to sleep. :)

We came to school, took the bus to Marina Country Club where Nette and I starting reminiscing about wakeboarding (!!) haha. And my instructor (whom Eelin said was hot) still remembered me yay. Then we had abit of trying-to-warm-us-up activities but most of us didn't want to participate, i.e: Hwachong OOOOI (which they used for most of the camp too; according to Jianyang some guys don't like it)
And so begins our journey to Pulau Ubin. In a ferry. In a slowww ferry. Siowyi was like "aiyoh should take out the roof la, windless one". After some time we reached our destination we had all the usual stuff then started the EXCITING ACTIVITIES! Hahaha
First was rock wall where Eelin, Kayiu (erm did he arh I forgot..all I remember was him complaining that his skin on his hands were peeling), Siowyi and I managed to reach the top ^^ but kudos to everyone else who tried their best to do so too! Abseiling was nice too. Lemon and Andrew didn't do it though; they are scared of heights ><>< and my arms are still weak from rock climbing just before that so I doubted whether I could hold on..argh. But it was fun, a once-in-a-lifetime experience :D
Next was lunch, then rafting where team alpha won woohoo! But at the second lap on of our containers came loose! LOL. So we were like paddling a sinking ship x) and then it was JETTY JUMP. The segment which I was so excited about (Kayiu should know, haha). There is this scaffolding supposedly 2 storeys high and we had to climb, jump then float in the sea which was so nice! I volunteered myself and went first. When you jump, it's like total silence then suddenly you plunge into the sea -woohoo- I kept telling people that it's like feeling what committing suicide is but not dying XD Shuying was unlucky because she climbed up just when the rollers (the waves formed when a boat speeds past) came in. As you can imagine the scaffolding was swaying abit >< terrible. And yay everyone managed to do it!
Ok after that was bathing, pitching tents then outdoor cooking. Shuying, Nette, Weiqi, Wenchi and everyone else around us were crying because we were at the onion-cutting station! Baohe had a go too because he wanted to see if he would really cry haha. Yup as what Cass said everything tasted like hor fun. And smelled like it too! It was an interesting experience though.
Next we had to sleep. Evidently some people couldn't sleep so decided to play cards at the cabanna nearest to the tents and got very excited and were speaking very loudly ("AIYAH if I put this card I would have won already!"). Being in a tent near the cabanna I was woken up. When I sat up my friend, Liulu, sat up too. Both of us felt sick so walked around, played some cards (if you can't beat them join them eh lol) and finally found the perfect place to sleep - the girls' toilet! Wahaha. Don't worry it's odourless and dry (unlike the guys' toilet according to Erik)(<-- Cass! LOL) and we slept there until the first few girls started coming in to wash up. Got a shock they did :P
And so marks the end of my stay at Pulau Ubin. Felt super sick so took my temperature: 37.9! Went to the doctor's lor. Yup that's all. Well I wrote quite alot lol. Jia you Cass and Eelin for fac comm! <3
Siowyi, don't try and generate scandal la, Fac head got his own scandal. He thinks Zhang Sheng is hot, remember? I simply gripped very tightly onto his hand la, grip onto your hand also lor, you want to be les with me?I dont want to eat fac head's toufu la, got toufu in other groups. XD.Guobin's the one who thinks fac head is hot/handsome. He said that like 5 times at least in one convo. We wonder... ok la I'll continue with the 3rd post, pardon my writing style, it's rather choppy. my EngNish not so good, not so good Nike the Instructor, he speak nike that. He seems to nike Ee Nin a n(l)ot.to maintain good relations with fellow Aresians, we shall not mention which class made a )(*&#()$%&#$^&$%&#)$%&()#$&% hell lot of noise, but former fac head really should teach his junior class better. ^^. Leap of Faith. Woohoo. Looked really scary, but the trapeze was actually reachable from this tall vertical log. And I didn't have much sleep the night before, so I tried the first time, and missed. Then I swore, just to relieve tension. ^^.The log was shaking like nobody's business as my legs were trembling. [Im rather confused if Im afraid of heights or not, so I prefer to believe I'm not and just zham everything]. then I got it the 2nd time. everyone got a turn. and <3 to Wenchi again for being so brave and overcoming another psychological obstacle. *huggles* Junhong was afraid of heights too, but he went ahead anyway. woo! For Jeriel, it was more of the Fall of Faith because he was so tall. So we guessed that for Wayne Ho, it'd be the Reach of Faith. Aha!
Then we had this task called the something Finger, where we had to lift 2 tyres out of a tall vertical log ( this campsite really had a lot of logs) and then put it back again. Oh noble Guobin sacrificed his shoulders once again, along with Jerryale, Fac Head and Kar Weng. People just stepped on the shoulders to lift the tyres up, and after that, back down again. I was just an arm rest lol. Never get married twice, bloody troublesome. (2 rings) Good team effort once again Tiga!!!
Next activity was to cross this "river" (it was just sand actually) using 2 planks and 2 crates, and we weren't supposed to fall in. So how? Use physics lor. Clockwise moments = anti-clockwise moments; further away from the pivot = greater force ie Fuji. Once again, Jerryale was first, so he could hold the planks and stuff. Before the last person could get across, it started raining, so we had to get our tents and stuff.
Instructors insisted that we HAD to put our tent bag in between the fly sheet and the tent, so we were wondering if we had to put the camp poles in the correct orientation too. Too bad we didn't have a protractor, or we would have measure the exact angle in which the tent was folded, so our packing would have been impeccable.
Lunch wasn't so good. Couldn't finish it. yelch.
Well I guess that's the end of our camp, we did learnt a lot about our classmates. Lynette is now known as superwoman and is highly respected. Lol. Ee Nin and Siowyi have a higher tendency of being bitten than I do. You guys are such great friends. Thanks. Wenchi, Weiqi, Shuying and Junyan are more lovable now. <3. And Weiqi can stay awake if she wants to. XD. Ka Yiu is actually SO STRONG WOW. Ey Ka Yiu, next time cannot don't pia la. Hope I didn't miss out anyone. Glad that we could bond well with a13 and we weren't THAT clique-ish. ^^
hoho ok i shall blog abt the second day(: after breakfast, [FRIED beehoon, FRIED samosas its a wonder why we din get constipation] we went to do the Team Challenge Pyramid(more affectionately known as TCP). This was one hell of a tower. 25 m high oh my god. There were 15 elements on this pyramid but we only did 11. yuppz. the obstacles were upward sloping so as u complete more and more obstacles then u increase in altitude. and we went in grps of 5. the 5 pple were attached to one another thru some things called stropes. [CASS i rmb u trembling! ha jelly legs:p) but i must say
YEE KAI helped cass alot.(haha shant say more:p) ] and when u finished everything u are rewarded with a flying fox! woohoo! so fun. lalala
then after lunch we went to do the low elements. had to do this cling-onto-a-rope-and-swing-across game. nth much larh that one. just had to swing over this patch of red mat abt 2 m long using a rope(smthg like wat TArzAn does) then after that had this high wall stuff. its like a SMOOTH vertical wall 3 m tall and u had to get everyone up there. this's a real team bonder. everyone had to sacrifice their

ok la since nobody blogged about fac camp, I shall blog. To all you who missed it, you missed out a lot!!! Initially, the instructor said we could group with 70, so I was like Yay Yee Chien <3. And Ruixiong XD. And the Extremely Efficient Erik. lol. Our class was grouped with a13, fac head's class, oh well. so I cheng ji to boot lick la lol.people running for fac comm ma...When 1 door closes, another opens. lol. Also, a lot of the people took part in dramafeste,and we were in graffiti sabbaticals, so I sort of knew them la.I visit their class bench very often.Guobin wants me to blog about him. so yea. Guobin Guobin Guobin Guobin Guobin Guobin. Also in our group were: Fuji (CHORALE!!!) , Jeriel (CHORALE!!!), Kar Weng ( ARTHUR!!! ) , Junhong (CHORALE!!!), Jianyang, Ruiyi (BACKSTAGE!!!) . Group name was Tiga. Sigh, Michelle wasn't with us because she came a little later. On the first day, we did abseiling and rock climbing. The rock wall was maybe, 2 storeys high? some people ie Siowyi scaled it in record time, but I didn't finish T_T, only did up till 2nd last square on top. Abseiling was rather scary, you have this maybe 50cm wall on top, then the rest is all space for you to slide down on a rope. Most of us had a go at it; kudos to Wenchi who conquered her fear even though she was so scared. <3. I simply swore all the way la.XD. I swore a lot during camp.
Then we also built a raft to cross the lagoon with 3 big ugly man-size fish. At first we weren't really comfortable with the a13 people, but a few of us went to join them. Mix a bit la. group Alpha won, but group Bravo's raft disintegrated midway, or rather, disintegrated from the beginning. We finished one lap and they were still trying to fix it. XD. Square lash rocks (it's a type of knot), and Im not even sure if I tied it correctly. After that was Jetty Jump, or rather, a short cut to watery graves. it looked really scary, a few people were hydrophobic, but they jumped anyway. (even though it took damn long). yay Lemon!!!
For dinner, we had to do outdoor cooking. So to maximise efficiency ( my favourite word for the moment), we delegated tasks etc. Everything tasted like hor fun, but was nice anwyay. Glad that our group was co-operative, and then nobody actually sat in a corner and slacked like some other class. Then after dinner we played some groping in the dark game. too bad I didn't get to eat people's toufu "by accident'" XD. Supper was damn sick, because the instructor made us finish the leftover by passing a sandwich round and asking people to take one bite each. yuk. End of First Day. Btw, instructor kept trying to hit on Ee Lin. lol
Lemon had attachment, so sad. Then also Carmen got sick :(. Thank goodness she left. Breakfast every morning was like an oilspill, and it was virtually impossible to get enough sleep. Some people decided they wanted to play hockey by themselves and left on the 2nd day. what can I say? they missed out a lot. So with our beloved CT rep gone, imagine how DISTRAUGHT we were!!! Nobody to lead us into battle, oh how I wept for our poor souls. BUT, we had FAC HEAD!!! Plus loads of teamwork and brains(none of which were contributed by me), and we pulled through the various team activities anyway even though we had less people.
Can someone blog about the second day? It's hard for me to resist using explicit language for the 2nd day due to some class making a hell lot of noise while people were trying to sleep. :)

Hi people. Hope you'll like this new layout I did with lots of help from Ruixiong. I was very bushuang with people saying the blog not nice. well there are still people from 7e ( Wa LaW eh)who think that the new design is "not aesthetically appealing yea?" but Im not speaking to them for the moment.
